Tarot Wisdom: Four of Swords
In this card we see the man lying asleep with the 3 swords overhead. He is also within the walls of his church/temple where he is secure and safe from all harm. In this place he is able to remove himself from the circumstances represented by the swords, to travel within where he may better hear the Divine Guidance he has sought in this safe haven. We also must be willing to set aside outer circumstances , to rest, and come into this place of tranquility where our wisdom lies waiting for our discovery of it. Return to Free Reading Page |

Four of Swords 1st Position: Taking a rest from activity, or recovering from illness. A brief respite before taking on more activity or starting a new venture. 2nd Position: You are in a period of transformation and are looking for support during this often confusing time. A need to take a rest before moving forward. 3rd Position: This indicates a period of time where you may be unsure of decisions you are making. These uncertainties are causing you to reevaluate decisions, but in the process you may be second guessing yourself or your ability. Not a good time for hasty action, don't allow fears to make you leap before you look. 4th Position: Keep on believing and having faith. When the voice comes forward that doubts and questions be still and wait for the answers. Sometimes a break is necessary before activity can resume for this very reason - we are being given an opportunity to hear our real guidance. 5th Position: Keep praying and using affirmations during the tricky spots and know that you can achieve what you set out to do for yourself. If something is troubling you, stand back from it for a bit or just set it aside for the time being. Through Divine guidance you will be shown the appropriate actions to take.
