Tarot Wisdom: Page of Cups
In this card we see the young man in a rather defensive stance, gazing heavily into the cup which he clenches in his hand. Behind him the sky is grey and the waters, which represent emotion, are choppy and a bit foreboding. He has made a conscious decision to turn away from the pull of that storm, so that he can focus on his cup, finding a source of inner strength and guidance. Coming from the cup is a fish which represents sustenance and spritual abundance. This page is so close to connecting with this source of wisdom, Sometimes when we are able to turn away from the pull of emotions/fears as this young man has, out of the blue our sustenance appears before us and we can recognize that all we need is provided to us, even when it comes in unexpected or unconventional ways. Page of Cups 1st Position: A period of tension related to material matters and health, being primarily on an emotional plane, not trusting or heading ones own intuition. 2nd Position: You are struggling to keep the faith during a period of high stress. A period of time where you may feel disconnected from your intuitive faculties. 3rd Position: Feeling taken for granted or used by people. Feeling unfulfilled, Worry about the future. Loneliness or feeling a bit left out or abandoned. Fears of not connecting with another. 4th Position: Now is a good time to still the mind and detach from busy thoughts so that you are better able to connect with the still small voice of your higher guidance. Intuition can become impeded by fear-based thoughts or becoming too emotionally entangled, thereby causing us to feel alone or disconnected from our source even though we are not. Take time to step back and center yourself in challenging times. 5th Position: Don't jump to conclusions, learn to look at all sides of a situation completely and fairly with optimism and an open mind. Sometimes we loose our objectivity and need to step back so we can reconnect with our intuition before making decisions or taking action.
