Tarot Wisdom: Queen of Swords
This queen sits strong upon her throne, wielding a very sharp blade. Beware the double-edged sword in this card. This queen has a dogged determination to meet her goals and have what she wants. The positive to this is that she has great energy and she devotes herself completely, not giving up. The downside is sometimes she fights so hard to get what she wants, and then finds out it was not in her best interests at all. Perhaps she should be more willing to flow with circumstances, allowing her higher wisdom to lead. This card reminds us that when something doesn't feel right, no matter how much we feel we want it, it's better to "let go and let God'" then put all that energy into constructive channels more aligned with your higher interests. Queen of Swords 1st Position: You are very objective and analytical. This is a time where you are called upon to use these capacities to help you take action/make a move in the right direction. A time for discernment and possibly some confusion/self-doubt surrounding your choices that you are called to cut through. 2nd Position: You want to be at peace with yourself and to keep up the initiative in a new endeavor, cutting away anything that may stand in your way. 3rd Position: Unexpected events leave you feeling out of control, disappointment or fearful of the future. Delays that cause frustration, not accomplishing a goal as soon as you would have liked. 4th Position: Sometimes you need to relinquish the ego, the part of you that feels it has to have control or answers at all costs, when you get so caught up in this you don't leave room for your Divine plan to unfold. Work to sever bad habits/beliefs that may hold you back 5th Position: Try to stay emotionally detached from situations, and let things come as they may. It will work out for the best, Learn to have more faith in your Divine plan, which is not always the same as what you may think you want or need, but what the universe knows you are in need of. Be willing to part with all that no longer serves your highest good, even if it means a temporary sacrifice.
