Medieval Scapini Tarot Deck

The Middle Ages are recreated with symbols, costumes, and settings against gold backgrounds. This is a complete 78 card deck. Thy symbolism, style and settings recreate the splendor of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The Major and Minor Arcana include full scenes, often with clues to the meanings of the cards hidden in the intricate pictures. Instructions by Luigi Scapini included.

I enjoy this deck for it's more serious tone, it is not as vibrant or lighthearted as some of my other decks, but it is still very beautiful and the pictures are rich with symbolism. This deck does depart quite a bit from the traditional symbology, but I enjoy that aspect also. If you are a beginning reader this may not be the deck for you, but for those who are experienced and looking for other decks to add to a collection this one is real keeper.
