Tarot Wisdom: Seven of Pentacles (Coins)
In this card we see the man, tired after a struggle or long journey. The skies are grey and rather dreary. He leans on his staff as looks upon all the things of the world, pausing to reflect. He may be feeling unfulfilled, or is seeking the larger meaning behind his cicumstances. All of things of the world haven't brought him yet to that place of self-realization. He is searching for truth and a renewed sense of purpose. What he doesn't see at the moment is that promise in that last pentacle which lies at his feet, it's been with him all along. This card reminds us to not get attached to things, or to the past. Reestablish a goal that makes you feel passionate about your life, and then do what is needed to move yourself in the right direction. Material rewards come and go, it's what we have within that brings a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Return to Free Reading Page |

Seven of Pentacles (Coins) 1st Position: A period of looking within, standing alone, reevaluating your life and goals, dissatisfaction with the way things have been and anxiety about the way things will come to pass. 2nd Position: You feel the desire to do something more, or to move on to new things, and are trying to figure out the best way to make this happen. 3rd Position: You doubt your ability to be successful in a new venture, trouble breaking away from your past, feeling you are not able to achieve your goals. Self doubt holds you back. 4th Position: You are capable of having what you want, but you let your fear and insecurities talk you out of going forward with new ideas or plans. Don?t accept what doesn?t make you happy because you don?t want to take a leap of faith. It is alright to be fearful of new things but don?t defeat yourself before you try your hardest. 5th Position: face the fears and insecurities that are holding you back, once you renew your determination you will apply the type of energy it takes to reach your goals. Often these periods of reflection benefit us, because we take the time to see our true colors. We figure out just what are motivations are, and what we really want to accomplish on a deeper level.
