Tarot Wisdom: Seven of Wands (Staffs)
In this card we see the young man holding his staff in a defensive stance. He has had some rough times lately, and he fears more of the same so he becomes naturally on guard. Perhaps he's so caught up in defending his position that he fails to see the feelings of others, or becomes unable to recognize his own true feelings without having them colored by doubt and insecurity. This card brings a message that we can't compromise or come to agreement when we are overcome with emotion and/or insecurity. Seven of Wands (Staffs) 1st Position: A period of pressure is upon you. Work and Home/Love life is affected. Having trouble figuring out the best way to act. A period of feeling on guard or apprehensive. 2nd Position: You want a definite answer and direction in your current circumstances. Tired of waiting for things to happen. Feeling like circumstances are slipping out of your control. 3rd Position: Being troubled by unsatisfactory relationships, protecting something or someone you possibly shouldn't. or being edgy or hostile to defend yourself from being hurt. Too many worries, anxiety may get the better of you and effect yoru judgment at times. 4th Position: Work on improving yourself instead of trying to fix everyone and everything else. When we don?t want to face ourselves we direct our attention outwards. This leads to more frustration and continued disappointment. 5th Position: Don't accept less than what is right, you have to be true to who you are. Look within and straighten out your affairs, then the rest will fall into place easier. We can't change outer circumstances, but we are in full control of how we react and respond to them. Don't believe that the "ends justify the means" be true to yourself.
