Tarot Wisdom: The Seven of Swords
In this card we see the man slinking away with five of the swords, looking around to ensure he doesnt' get caught. This card indicates deception, a feeling of getting one up on another, or taking advantage of a situation. This card calls us to look at ways we may allow others to take unfair advantage of us, but it also calls us to look at the ways in which we deceive ourselves.

  • 1st Position:

A period of introspection, self protection, analyzing things, establishing priorities, also a time where you may tend to put emotional needs above common sense, warning about that.

  • 2nd Position:

You are aware you need to take action to correct a problem area. Self-deception or allowing yourself to be deceived is indicated.

  • 3rd Position:

Troubles with organization and establishing priorities, you may be a perfectionist to a fault. If I can't do it "the best" then don't bother at all. Upset with someone close , perhaps even yourself , who you feel continually disappoints you. Fear of rejection or failure may cause you to act out of character or do things you wouldn't normally do.

  • 4th Position:

Your desire for things to be "perfect' hinders you from seeing all the greatness of who you are and the world around you. Perfection is not something manmade, perfection is in all things the Divine has made, in nature, the Spirit, etc? You are perfect just as you are, because you are the only you that is. Don't strive to obtain the impossibly exacting standards of "perfection",. When we look at ourelves as lacking, we may act against what is for our highest good.

  • 5th Position:

Don't allow yourself to believe the deception that you are somehow deserving of less than what is essentially right. If you know in your heart something feels wrong, don't do it or allow it to be done to you. This is a card that speaks of the need for integrity towards self and others.
