Tarot Wisdom: Ten of Pentacles (Coins)
In this card we see the village which represents "home' not just on the material plane, but our spiritual center. We see the man and woman come together, shaking hands. A uniting and bringing together of opposites for the common good. they walk in different directions, but meet in the middle each respecting the different path of the other. Also present are the dogs, representing unconditional love. surrounding the scene, the elder on a throne, and lush vegetation. Wisdom is present in this card, and the wise know the value of acceptance and seeking common interests, not belittling or turnign against those whose experience is different than their own. Often we lose our own identities in life, pretending to be what we are not to fit in, or allowing others to disrespect our path. Ten of Pentacles (Coins) 1st Position: Focuses on coming to terms with something you have been avoiding, family matters, the home. Reconciling differences, coming to mutually beneficial terms. 2nd Position: You want to better your relationships with others and hope a new approach will establish better conditions. 3rd Position: Problems in relationships, arguments or disagreements, feeling unappreciated or taken for granted. Basing ones sense of self-worth on other people's attitudes/behaviors. Not taking enough time to express yourself creatively or discover your true identity free from outer influences. 4th Position: Somewhere in your life you allowed yourself to be taken for granted or used and in doing so set yourself up for disappointment. People treat us the way we allow them to treat us. It would follow then that if you want to be treated better, first honor and respect yourself , treat yourself with the respect that you deserve. When we honor ourselves we draw to us relationships that mirror those qualities of respect. We are able to find and enter into healthier relationships based on mutual understanding, respect, and trust. 5th Position: Now is the time to work towards bringing yourself into more harmonious relationships and/or circumstances. Cooperation and compromise are necessary, but we should never go against what we know to be right for ourselves to please another. If you don't feel comfortable being who you are around others, it may be time to change environments.
