Tarot Wisdom: Ten of Swords
In this picture we see a somewhat gruesome scene, with the man laying on the ground, filled with all of these swords. it can be difficult to see a positive in this situation it seems. However, now the swords have all been spent, the trauma is over, and we can move beyond it and transcend it. This card to me often indicates a "dark night of the soul" type experience, a period of difficulty followed by a new resolve to move forward with the knowledge that the worst is over, and the future is what you make of it. Ten of Swords 1st Position: A condition or situation has gone as far as it can and must be addressed and cleared away. What's done is done, time to move forward. 2nd Position: You feel overcome by an impossible situation and are needing to find answers or hope. A period of calm or rest after a difficult time. 3rd Position: You tend to feel out of control of your life. You try to show the world a tough outer shell, but in the process cut yourself off from support of those who care, fear that you will never find true happiness or fulfillment no matter what you try. 4th Position: Your lack of faith in yourself keeps you from attaining that which you truly desire. Learn to look within and get to the root of why you distrust yourself or God and deal with these issues. This is a time where you have to pick up the pieces. We can't change the past, so we must move beyond what has been. New inspiration comes after rest. 5th Position: Make a decision to deal with all that has passed, but to not let the past or negative thinking color your future. Learn to have more Faith in God and in yourself. The hard part is over, and you can move forward now with a new sense of clarity.
