Tarot Wisdom: The Fool
The Fool Card represents each of us as we travel our life path. All of our experience along the way shape and mold us into our fullest potential. In our lives we play the roles of both the teacher and the student, the wise and the foolish, etc. In this card we see the young man prancing along with his dog, enjoying the sunny day and being thankful for all he's received. He is near the edge of the cliff. The lesson is one of balance, not to be so oblivious that we fall off the path, but not to be so serious and calculating that we forget to be spontaneous, youthful, and joyful at the process of life. The Fool 1st Position: In the first position, the Fool indicates the individual in the process of learning some of life's biggest lessons. The fool is energetic, curious, with high ideals and hope. There is also a tendency here for indecision, naivety, and lack of self-discipline. This tends to be the person who is actively persuing spiritual growth, to find their place in the grand scheme of things. 2nd Position: The Fool represents the motivation for an end to struggle within. He indicates a person who is driven by a need to attain a state of contentment and peace, but is unsure what will get him/her there. Life's lessons may be testing this person's faith at the moment. 3rd Position: The fool card in this position indicates struggle, a period of time in which the individual questions his/ her beliefs. Fear of new and unknown things. Fear of Self, not wanting to face things within themself that they need to face in order to grow. Fear of taking chances or making choices. 4th Position: Reestablish your sense of faith in difficult times and learn to go with the flow. Life's journeys are all what we make of them. They are controlled by our reactions to them. Learn to embrace each moment for it's fullest potential. Living within the moment helps you restore your balance and find your center. 5th Position: The Fool tells us to let it be OK with us that some things are beyond our current knowledge. . There is a higher wisdom present in the Universe that we can tap into that helps us to find joy and peace in the journey and not only pin our hopes on the destination.
