Tarot Wisdom: The Lovers
In this card we see the uniting of opposites, a marriage, unity. Above the loving support of the angels. This card reminds us that sometimes it is necessary to unite opposites, to see through the illusions of separation and conflict. Often our biggest opportunities lie hidden beneath what appear to be difficult circumstances. However, sometimes pain is necessary to compel us to move forward into areas of new potential. In this card we see the looming clouds, but also the the sunshine above. This card also reminds us that by bringing together the conflicting aspects of our inner nature we become more empowered. The Lovers 1st Position: Newness, relationships family and friends, and choices of heart. Resolving Conflicts, compromise learning to find the blessing in present circumstances. 2nd Position: You are in a place where you must make a decision or take action, and are trying to figure out what is the best way to proceed. 3rd Position: Seperation. Failure of a plan or venture. Not being able to put the past out of your mind, feeling things will never work out as you planned. Not seeing opportunities that are presenting themselves because of being "stuck" on ones own ideas/plans. 4th Position: You need to learn to be self reliant. Don't hang on to the past or support systems because you fear failure. Sometimes things that look negative on the surface prove to be blessings in disguise. Allow the Universal Wisdom to lead you, and lay judgment aside. Your heart and head must work together. 5th Position: Look beyond your hopes and desires with an open mind and take in the whole picture and the truth will be revealed to you. Work on bringing together the conflicting parts of your nature to work in harmony rather than undermining yourself with self-doubts and second guessing.
