Tarot Wisdom: Three of Swords
The skies rain down. The heart is pierced by the swords, there is nothing uplifting in this card ...or is there? Life comes in cycles and pain and grief are a part of life. They can also be the catalyst for growth and change, because they teach us compassion and how to live in new ways. Often it is after periods of sorrow that we come to find joy in simple things again and take less for granted. Respect pain for the process that it is. Work with grief rather than against it, it is a healing process that allows us to continue moving forward. Return to Free Reading Page |

Three of Swords 1st Position: Adversity, loss, disappointment, Periods of sorrow and grief. What has been must be released. 2nd Position: You have run out of energy and need some inspiration to get you moving forward with hope again. This is a card that speaks of finding the strength to move forward after a painful turn of events. 3rd Position: Unrequited love, feeling unfulfilled, feeling you will never find what makes you whole, jealousy, grief, anger, feeling devastated by circumstances, any of the pains of the heart can be represented by the Three of Swords. 4th Position: Although you may not believe it the condition you feel trapped in is temporary. Remember that pain teaches compassion , and makes us stronger. It also shows us how to appreciate all we do have. Stop looking at everyone else and comparing what they have to what you have etc.. release all that is painful and choose to look to your blessings and have faith. In life we will all grieve and suffer loss, it is a part of being human. Don't allow it to rob you of joy, accept it as a passing phase, just as the moon has its passing phases. 5th Position: You are not seeing the whole picture right now so slow down and don't do something you will end up regretting. When emotions run high it is easier to end up reacting rather than taking careful, considered action. Step wisely. Look to see if there are any areas where you are tempted to go against your better nature and rethink them or you may end up with more regrets.
