Tarot Wisdom: Two of Swords
In this card the woman is crossed by the two double-edged swords. It is symbolic of difficult choices and learning of the consequences of our actions (or inaction). She is blindfolded and as a result she feels victimized by her circumstances. Upon closer examination however, we see her feet are free and she can stand up and put down the swords. Empowerment often comes from simply changing our perspective and actively seeking solutions in "not so obvious" ways. Return to Free Reading Page |

Two of Swords 1st Position: A time of feeling intimidated by your current situation. Needing to make important decisions. 2nd Position: You are feeling as though you are bound to something and want to break free, but are uncertain which direction to take. 3rd Position: Fear that if you do one thing instead of another you will lose out completely, mixed and changeable emotions, loneliness, battle with your conscience. Fear of not making the correct decisions , and how they will effect you and those close to you. 4th Position: You are experiencing many emotional upheavals right now and may feel that you will lose no matter what you do. Realize that a new way of life is on the way for you. Sometimes when you are bothered as to what decision to make, sit back and rest a bit, don’t struggle with it. When you are at peace the right answers come. Don't blind yourself to the possibility of a fresh start 5th Position: Don’t let fear stop you from making definite decisions, or from trying new things. Be willing to act on alternatives that present themselves. Things aren't always what they seem.
